Ha, thinking about these kinds of things just makes my head hurt in the end." [Installments... Yeah, that could work. Putting all your eggs in one basket never worked, so this was like the same thing, huh? But when Alex catches Badou brushing his eyepatch and saying some cryptic words, she's struck by this pang of empathy in her heart.]
[It's just all so weird. She wants to reach out, but really, what good would it do? Nicolas and Worick already have their own problems going on, and she can't just stick her neck into those, either. And if she thinks getting involved in their problems isn't a good idea, getting them involved in her own wouldn't help much, either. (Even if they've already seen some shit.)]
[She's silent now, staring at the floor of the train with fidgeting hands.]
